Termite Inspections

What you can’t see may be eating you out of house and home.

Lenders require Maryland homebuyers to have a termite certification completed by a certified inspector.* Such certification is made in accordance with Maryland State Department of Agriculture regulations and notes any visible infestation by wood destroying insects or organisms as well as any visible damage that may require repair by the seller prior to settlement.

We inspect for the following wood destroying insects:

• Termites
• Carpenter ants
• Powder post beetles
• Wood boring beetles
• Carpenter bees

*Under Maryland law, a pest control consultant license and certificate are required if a person is engaged in the business of offering or supplying technical advice or supervision, inspecting for or identifying pests, or recommending the use of specific pesticides for the purpose of controlling pests. Gold Key has met the Pesticide Applicator Certification and Business Licensing Requirements as a Pest Control Consultant and may offer and perform WDI/WDO inspections in conjunction with home inspection services.
